Skin Colour Reconstruction Treatment

scars | obesity strokes | stretch marks | vitiligo

Skin Colour Reconstruction or also known as skin camouflage, corrective pigment camouflage is non-invasive treatment done by PMU specialists that involves the insertion of a pigment, designed for medical camouflage and matched to the color of the surrounding healthy skin. Thus, the final color of the treated area optimally matches the color of the surrounding tissues. This makes it possible to conceal scars, stretch marks, obesity strokes & vitiligo making them stand out less on the background of the skin and also eliminate pigment spots and even out the skin tone. This can help people with scars move on from past trauma, be comfortable in their own skin and regain back their self-confidence.

Skin Colour Reconstruction can help burn patients ease the physical, mental and emotional burden of dealing with such an experience, and help them be more comfortable in their own skin.

  • Undergo previous surgery (i.e. lips, breast, scalp and other parts of the body) Breast augmentation is usually done in different types of incision- axillary, periareolar and inframammary fold. Neurosurgery/head surgery often results in a scar on the scalp and the hair will no longer grow in this area due to the integrity of the skin. Due to personal preference, some patients will opt for a hair transplant and some would prefer a scalp micropigmentation.
